This is a sacred Hindu temple site that is closed to ALL non-Hindus. The Bhagmati River runs through the site and is the location of many cremations. There was one just beginning when we arrived. There are also "holy men" all around the site. They do not work, do not cut their hair and live on the streets existing on hand-outs from others.
